Last weekend, I had the chance to attend the North Texas Teen Book Festival at the Irving Convention Center in the DFW Metroplex. I highly recommend it if you are the kind of person who loves being around books, authors and 10,000 teenagers. But even if that seems like a lot of people, I loved my quick trip to Irving, especially the Texican, the super-hip hotel where I stayed right across from the convention center. It had outdoor fireplaces, a great bar, and very fun rooms (mine is shown in the picture).
